Kelowna is the largest city in the OkananganValley & the third largest city in British Columbia. The city of Kelowna sits on the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake, which is 90 miles long, between Penticton to the South and Vernon to the North. The lake has many beaches & coves and offers great swimming, boating & picnicking. Kelowna is the "California" of Canada, a retirement community, a tourist destination, and growing in business oportunities, manufacturing, world winning wineries and a high tech sector. Approximately 100,000 make this city their home and it is growing with younger families that can raise their families in a relatively clean and safe enviroment.
Kelowna is home to two campuses of Okanagan University College, a full treatment cancer clinic, hospital, the Kelowna Rockets, winners of the Memorial Cup, a 12 sheet curling rink hosting many bonspiels as well as World Class Curling. The city boasts many orchards & vineyards, restaurants, shopping & a growing airport offering direct flights to winter vacation spots. Big White & Silver Star only an hour away, offers great skiing, hiking & biking. All level of golfers have over 40 courses to choose from in the surrounding areas. With more courses being built, it is becoming a golf ing destination.
Our four seasons offers mild winters, early springs, colourful falls & a long, hot summer. The beauty of the surrounding mountains & hillsides, the orchards & the lake draws many tourists and beckons many to return to call Kelowna home.
